INDUSTRIALIZATION Por FESR

Caffemotive is the beneficiary of a contribution to the call for proposals for ERDF 2014-2020. Activity 1.2.a.2 ex L.R. 14/2015 art. 1 - Prat. n. 37067 (MIC) with a project entitled " INDUSTRIALIZZAZIONE COMPRESSE DI CAFFE’ TABLI’ TRIDOSE MOKA "with the financial support of European Union, Italian Republic and Friuli Venezia Giulia autonomous region.
The industrialization project, in addition to providing for the industrialization of the packaging system studied with the previous R & D project, also involves making investments to complete and upgrade the first production line of the coffee tablets, plus some instrumental equipment for production and packaging.
The aim of this project is to industrialize the new packaging line studied with the previous R & D project, in order to start the first mass production of Tablì three-dose coffee Moka tablets.

The main project objectives relate to:
  1. Introduction to the market of the new Tablì three-dose coffee Moka tablets.
  2. Cost reduction for the company. The form of packaging used makes it possible to reduce spaces to a minimum by generating a reduction in the purchase costs of packaging materials and logistics costs in the management of the materials themselves.
Regarding this project, endorsed with an admissible budget of 202.600,00 Euro, we were granted a contribution of 70.910,00 Euro.

R&S 2017 Por FESR

Caffemotive S.r.l.  is the beneficiary of a contribution to the call for proposals for ERDF 2014-2020. Activity 1.3.a. DGR N. 1232/2017  with a project entitled " Ricerca e sviluppo nuovo sistema Tablì monoporzionato caffè espresso” with the financial support of European Union, Italian Republic and Friuli Venezia Giulia autonomous region.
The project concerns the study and realization of the first Tablì espresso monodose coffee tablets and their packaging system, drawing on the experience gained in the previous "Tablì three-dose moka" R&D project, currently undergoing industrialization.
Tablì single-dose tablets for Espresso brewing require special attention and additional complexity in the production phase and may involve specific packaging needs, different from those required by Tablì three-dose tablets for Moka. The goal is to be able to create, with the innovative patented technology, single-dose tablets without the use of any casing and packaged in packaging with a low environmental impact. In this way it will be possible to introduce on the market the "Tablet" in response to the pods and capsules, and to counteract the great pollution that they are creating in the world in particular the latter.
The main project objectives relate to:
  1. Introduction within the market of a deeply innovative product (substitute of the current pods and capsules) that will generate for Caffemotive an important outlet on the market of Italian and international portioned coffee.
  2. Meet the needs of consumers in terms of waste reduction (the tablet can be completely disposed of as wet waste) and respect the environment from a "green" point of view (the use of a biodegradable packaging for tablets).
Regarding this project, endorsed with an admissible budget of 130.463,20 Euro, we were granted a contribution of 52.185,28 Euro.

Voucher Project

Caffemotive. Is the beneficiary of a contribution to the call for ERDF 2014-2020. Activity 1.1. Acquisition of services through vouchers - notice DGR 644 of 22 April 2016, with a project called" Coffee ' innovative and green "TABLI ' system", Activity D. 1 Enhancement Services of intellectual property with financial support by European Union, Italian Republic and Friuli Venezia Giulia autonomous region.

"Tablì System" is an innovative technology that has made it possible to create free-wrapping coffee tablets. These tablets are launched on the market as a new type of single coffee dose (next to the two large families of pods and capsules). "Tablì system" also allows to completely eliminate the casing. In Tablì System product neither plastic or aluminium is used, as in the capsules, nor paper as in the pods. Only pure, compacted coffee powder with advanced and profoundly innovative technology, which does not use chemical additives or polluting agents. Actually this innovative technology has been internationally patented by Caffemotive Srl.
The project Tablì System allowed the company to extend patent protection in 26 European countries (in detail Italy, Germany, Great Britain, France, Switzerland + LICHTESTEIN, Republic of San Marino, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Holland, Turkey, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia) as well as requesting the patent in the United States. In addition, the project has allowed to conduct a business strategy study to internationalize the patent undertaken.
Caffemotive project is part of the entire agri-food sector, in the development trajectory "1. Application of industrial design techniques to food sector (food-design combination), in particular sustainable design (eco-design) and design to food acts (the so-called food-design) ".

Regarding this project, endorsed with an admissible budget of 40.000,00 Euro, we were granted a contribution of 20.000,00 Euro.

  2. Shape packaging study and definition that allows a better usability of the same by end consumers (user friendly).
  3. Material packaging study that is recyclable ("green"), but which guarantees an effective barrier effect to maintain the coffee sensory properties.
  4. Study to minimise the phases and the time of packaging.
  5. Design and production of a first prototype of automatic packaging machine able to pack Tablì System coffee tablets without damages.
Regarding this project, endorsed with an admissible budget of 130.080,00 Euro, we were granted a contribution of 58.090,15 Euro.
